Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Las Vegas - In his toughest test to date, Frankie Gomez (15-0, 11KOs) used activity, movement and aggression to dominate Lanard Lane (13-3, 8KOs) over ten rounds. The scores were 98-92, 100-90 and 100-90. Lane was not active enough and barely threw any punches even when Gomez would just hang back to catch a breather. They fought at a catch-weight of 143-pounds.

Super bantamweight prospect Joseph Diaz (2-0, 1KO) stopped Jose Ruiz (2-3) in the second round of action. Ruiz, who was game and swung for the fences, was dropped twice in the second from shots to the body.

Mickey Bey (19-0, 10KOs) knocked out Robert Rodriguez (7-3, 3KOs) in the third round of a lightweight fight. Bey dominated the first two rounds and then drilled Rodriguez with a left hook on the button in the second. Rodriguez made it up but then he got hit with the exact same punch, crashed to the mat, and the fight was waved off.

Super middleweight Luis Arias (2-0, 1KO) stopped Joshua Robertson (3-1, 1KO) in the second round of a one-sided beating. Arias punished Robertson until referee Jay Nady had seen enough.

Super middleweight prospect Badou Jack (12-0, 9KOs) destroyed Jonel Tapia (8-4-1, 5KOs) in the first round. Tapia was hurt by a bodyshot early in the first round and it didn't take long before he went down from another hook to the body. Tapia made it up but a series of punches put him down for the full count.
