staff doesnt come later till you are actually are generating enough traffic to pay for overhead, and employee and fill your pockets. Its very doable as a one man operation at first, takes about 10-15 minutes to do a job once you work out your kinks etc. Theirs usually 2 type of customers those who know for sure they want new (used) tires and those who want you to patch a leak (if its possible) I usually hate the leak patching jobs but they are a cheap way to get repeat customers cause when that tire fails in the future they most likely coming to you again.
Location just needs to be somwehere where eyes will see your shop, cause most your new customers are only coming to you cause you were close to them. so where ever you think that be best is where I would get it. If you can put it next to autozone etc, but I personally never wanted to be next to another mechanic shop cause I never know how far I wanted to expand my shop.
