Hearn making the Immediate rematch is a terrible mistake

If Joshua gets owned by Ruiz again, he's done. There's no coming back from getting your ass beat twice in a row. Joshua will be damaged goods. I mean in what dimension, is fighting the guy that just easily beat your ass right away, a good decision lol? The fight wasn't even close.

If Hearn instead gave Joshua some tune up fights, and allowed him to improve, Joshua can start thinking "I just wasn't ready, I wasn't as good in the first fight as I am now"

But if he faces Ruiz immediately, and gets ****d again, which is most likely what will happen, that's career homocide.

AJs thinking could be its either all or nothing for this re-match.
I agree if he loses their will not be any coming back.

If I could make bets with fans on when boxers were "done" & bets with fighters on their "retirement" I'd be sooooooooo mfing rich.

Joshua ain't done if he loses. Its a massive set back no doubt about that, but he'll still be a draw & there are still a ton of guys he can beat.

Only way he's done if he decides to retire after back to back L's & I think thats extremely unlikely cuz Joshua is a brand & a product with an 0 or not & there are still tens of millions of dollars of money to be made by him in this game.

That would be very ******. If he doesn't try to get those belts back he will be frozen out of the title picture for years. And Kovalev recently got his ass beat by Alvarez and won easily in the rematch so your logic doesn't add up.

Their first mistake was underestimating ruiz.

Now they're making the same mistake all over again by labeling the first fight a fluke. Andy Ruiz is not a fluke.

It’s crazy how you nutjobs who don’t like Josh are the same ones worried about the rematch, lol. You don’t even like the guy, so why do you care?

It just shows all the faux bs about the rematch has ulterior motive because you know he’ll beat Ruiz and you don’t want him to get his belts back.

Mind your fu..cking business. He’s taking the rematch. If he loses, so be it. His fans are behind him and they support the move.

When did Joshua or Hearn say Ruiz's win was a fluke? I've seen some fans and commentators say that but I don't buy it.

The OP is a Josh hater and he doesn’t want him to get the belts back.

Joshua got his ass kicked/outboxed from pillar to post besides the 1 knockdown he scored(which was more of Ruiz being off balanced while punching).

Kovalev actually had success against Alvarez in that 1st fight. He was outboxing him and ahead on all 3 scorecards and the punch stats before he got lazy and got clipped.

It's not the same kind of comeback that Joshua would have to pull off.
