    Who hits harder Ortiz or Khan?

    SP1 and I have a difference in opinion in this thread

    about who hits harder out of Khan and Ortiz. Khan IMO is the faster puncher but Ortiz throws the heavier more thudding shots. SP1 seems to think that you can not arrive at this conclusion which I am having great difficulty getting my head round as it seems obvious to me but maybe I am not just seeing things straight. Out of the 2 fighters who DO YOU THINK IS THE HEAVIER HITTER?

    I voted for Ortiz. I don't think Khan is a big puncher at all.

      Ortiz hits harder but Khan hits faster.

        Ortiz have more power, but Khan have more speed and presicion in his punchs

            I agree with this to a certain extent especially early on in the fight where speed has an additional shock factor. That is why I feel Khan needs to take out maidana before he gets into his stride.

              But people are underestimating khans power....

              He faught kotelnik which didnt make him look like he had alot of power....he faught paulie and we know he can take huge punches....

              When he fights maidana, at least we can evaluate the difference between his power and ortiz's

                  ortiz is a converted othodox athlete (right hander fighting as a southpaw)


                  his left hand (straight punch, weak hand, back foot) is probably harder than anything khan throws and it's not even ortiz' best punch


                  his right hook is the best still the punch at 140
                  i even think he hits harder than maidana with one shot because of his superior speed and timing (maidana is still the heavier puncher)


                  i'm of the opinion that Ortiz is a p4p puncher with that right hand for as long as he can still make 140
