Klitschko - "Maybe Britain is going to have the next undisputed heavyweight champion"

World heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko says undisputed cruiserweight champion David Haye ‘is nuts’ for wanting to fight him. The IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight titleholder thinks that the Briton first needs to prove himself as a genuine heavyweight contender. Speaking to Setanta Sports News, Klitschko said, "I met this guy yesterday. I’d never heard of him before but he was so loud that I could have heard his voice overseas. He’s a nice guy but he’s so excited about his career and moving up to the heavyweight division and winning all the titles. He’s definitely got a good punch and is a great boxer but he’s just so loud it’s unbelievable. The one thing that he does have already, though, is that he’s very self-confident. He has to have a couple of good fights at heavyweight and, after that, who knows? If he continues to do well then maybe we will fight each other. Maybe Great Britain is going to have the next undisputed heavyweight champion of the world – but only after I retire.”

I'm really surprised that Wlad had dinner with Haye after all the things his been saying about him like calling him a bum.

Wow, talk about taking things out of context.

You do realize that Wlad actually came down there to discuss the possibility of a fight with Haye?

How long do with have to wait??? Two, three years???

If Wlad was so confident of victory, he'd beat his ass now right???

Take away the fact, that this is the biggest money fight going for Wlad at HW. He'd make a killing from this fight!

Why would he? Haye is a nobody in HW division, and Wlad is booked till the end of the year with two mandatory defenses.

His management sees it pretty much the same way as us, Haye needs to sign up with HBO, beat(impressively) one of the american guys with a name(Rahman would be perfect) and then they would have a megafight in London in 2009.

As of now though, Haye just does not bring it to the american table in terms of popularity and money.

As of now Wlad is fighting Thompson and Povetkin.

Because you would never give Haye a fight?
