[HOLY S**T!] Pacman is willing to try MMA

During a recent press conference, krikya360.com's Bill Emes and Michael Marley cornered Manny Pacquiao on the subject of Mixed Martial Arts. Pacquiao said he watched MMA and UFC, but said it was "too brutal" when asked for his thoughts on the sport.

When asked if he would ever consider trying his hand at Mixed Martial Arts, Pacquiao replied to BoxingScene - "I want to, but they [promters and management] don't want me to fight."

He said if promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank and adviser Michael Koncz said it was okay, he would consider entering the cage. Michael Koncz cut in at that point and told Pacquiao - "you know that you could do what you want."

It's hard to tell if Pacquiao was serious or just joking around.

Why? He makes so much more as a boxer than he'd ever make in any MMA fights.

I'm absolutely positive that Manny would do great, but like Anthony said, why would he?

if he did it all under his own promotion with his own guys instead of the ufc or strikeforce I'm sure he could make a sweet little earner

They would just feed him to a wrestler, he would get pounded out and submitted...

He doesn't really have that flash KO power that's needed in MMA either...

My god what I would have paid to see Mike Tyson fight Mark Coleman back in the day!

Uhh... he would definitely have it in 4 ounce gloves.

As, i have said, there is a reason Couture took a flying leap onto the ground from 5 feet away and grabbed Toney's leg. He feared his power with the sparse hand padding that cage fighting gives a fighter. He admitted it, he didn't even want to risk shooting a double leg for fear that it would bring him too close.

I think athletic commissions would have had to review whether they should even let a guy like Tyson or Tua fight in 4 ounce gloves. if you can Ko heavyweight, and former heavyweight champions in a little over a minute in 10 ounce gloves, as both of these guys have, you could send someone to the ER if you hit them in 4 ounce. You don't need that kind of excessive power, guys like Manny are just fine. An MMA fighter is not surviving a hook to the jaw or a clean shot to the ribs from Pacman.

So the smaller gloves DO have something to do with it. I thought so. But MMA haters will still claim that the knockouts in MMA occur because they have "glass jaws".

boxers have better jaws because they see punchges coming better than say a wrestler who trains for mostly fighting on the ground.. who would see punches coming at them from angles better?? boxers have a trained eye for that... thats another reason why u see alot of devastating KOs in UFC

why would he do mma so they can get some gay wrestler and b a pu$$y and try to hug him and if the gay wrestler win bash pacman on how bad he is mma is the best by having some guy hug him not even bursing pac so lame...

its funny how you mma fans say boxers should do mma which they get paid less but why not say mma guys should try to fight in a boxing ring where you punch and someone face is bond to get beaten then huged to death.
