What are your thoughts on him?

Im new to actually paying attention to fighters in UFC.. casually of course

but that was the first fight of his ive seen.

i think i like his brother better, or at least think his brother is better from what i've seen of him.

but i have no idea as to who really is...

also, are the Diaz brothers hated among most fans? i kinda get that vibe

nick and nate diaz are legends. most fans love em because they say what they want when they want to whoever they want, they dont respect anybody and they pick fights with anybody they want but they dont beat on weaker guys. they are very ****y or just confident, they showboat a lot

then you have the fans that hate these guys because they dont respect anybody including dana white. theyre mostly ufc ******s that cant stand that fact, and the fact that theres other good fighters out there not under contract with the ufc (nick). tho they were born in the states they are gracie-related because of their BJJ background and they sound mexican so you will not find any ufc ******s rooting for them either

Nick Diaz said in an interview that he got into martial arts to deal with growing up in Stockton and Nate, like most little brothers, followed in his footsteps. They hooked up with Cesar Gracie Jiu Jitsu and have been there ever since. They're both hard to finish and have damn good chins, talk a lot of smack and have a lot of heart. And on top of that, their fights are always exciting and they always try to finish after battering their opposition with their unique style.

A lot of people call them ****y, but the sport needs characters like the Diaz brothers. You need the "bad guys." I've been rooting for them for a long time because they don't take **** and are products of a rough environment, but what people really tend to not comment on is how respectful they both are of opponents that deserve it.

This right here. Been a hardcore Diaz brothers fan for a long time. I bought UFC 49-50 double DVD and the fight I always watch the most is Karo Parysian vs. Nick Diaz. Not to mention his war with Diego Sanchez is an all time favorite of mine.

Got to love the Diaz brothers. All heart.
