    Gegard Mousasi upset in Bellator

Mousasi(49-8) has been consistently in the top 10 for over a decade and was a UFC contender when he left for bellator where he became champion.

Guy who beat him is now only 12-0. Johnny Eblen looks like the real deal. The next wave of new fighters is coming. It's one thing Gegard lost but it wasn't a strike or submission. The veteran completely got dominated 50-45 across all cards.

I'm actually shocked. I didn't see it coming.

      36 years old
      59 pro MMA fights
8 pro kickboxing fights (probably some amateur fights too?)
      13 amateur boxing fights
28 years of total martial arts training, including a black belt in Judo

That's a lot of miles on his body. Nobody should be surprised when any fighter over 35 takes an L in any sport. Not saying I predicted the outcome because I didn't, but it's not that shocking.

That's complete hindsight tho. He was a -270 favorite. You had to bet $270 to win $100. If he would of lost to reputable fighter I don't think it would of been as crazy. But this no name comes out of nowhere and just dominates him from bell to bell. That's ****ing wild. Surely this guy could be the next best fighter outside the UFC but it's still he wasn't anybody until he won that fight. Now hes at the top of the food chain over night

I didn't expect it, but I don't find it too surprising. This Eblen guy is a top wrestler. Not too many of those on Mousasi's record besides Weidman, who fell off a cliff once USADA came in.
