    Classic Post 1990 R&B Thread...

That's right. A place to discuss everything post-1990 r&b in a world filled with this abrasive rap music.

Just reminisce on some good songs, upload some of your favorite ****...keep it real.

I'll get it started in a second.

I don't know if this is R&B or what it is but I'm really feelin The Score from The Fugees. Lauryn Hill is sooooo talented...how was that album that she put out?

I first think of Aaron Hall's song "I Miss You"

And Aaliyah... At Your Best, Let Me Know, One in a Million (a little later)

But I think Al B Sure has to be mentioned as well as the King of RnB, R Kelly aka Mr. Bump n' Grind.

My favorite artists are as follows:

        1 Brian McKnight
        2 Seal
        3 Donnell Jones
        4 D'Angelo
        5 Anthony Hamilton & Jon B

Brian McKnight has an incredible vocal range and a rich voice. He has been my favorite singer since I first heard his self-titled effort in '91 or '92. His next best album is "I Remember You". He has been struggling to keep his sound up to date with the current blend of poppy r&b that these little kiddies love...he'll come back with some heat though I know it.

Heres a taste...a beautiful and sad song:

I can't believe that ***** is married to Heidi Klum......

What do you think of Ne-Yo? I actually think he brought R&B back a little bit to what it should be, not this R&B/Hip Hop stuff everyone is doing nowadays.

No love for Usher? Come on, the dude can sing and he's always worked with Neptunes.

Anthony Hamilton, Donnell Jones, Carl Thomas, Ne Yo (very talented writes for everyone including that song by Rihanna out now), Joe, Jon B, R Kelly, Maxwell, D'Angelo, Raheem DeVaughn.

I like some songs by Brian McKnight but he's a little too far in the pop realm. Same as Seal, though I can name one song by him.

Here's a song by Rell from the Roc produced by Kanye. It's been on my iPod. Has an old school feel to it.

Yeah that song is hot. He's on a hot track with AZilla called "You Know". It was off the scrapped album that was supposed to be AWOL. I might up it later.

Brian McKnight had really only written "love" songs before he started gearing more towards the pop crowd. He never was on some **** like D'Angelo, who was more in tune with the hip hop side of r&B. I still love him though. Met him in Muskegon MI this year...real cool guy.

Seal has one of the most emotional songs I have ever heard. He is a genius in my opinion. His last album was very good too.

I'll upload a song that will change your life in a minute.

I like Ne Yo. Moreso than Chris Brown and some of these other cats out there today.

Yeah URsher is good too. You will never find me hating on him. I have liked his music since he was a kid (I myself was a kid too).

Easily my favorite album of all time. Hip Hop or not, That could be the album I can listen to forever and never get sick of.
