At least half of the people posting here like other forms of music.

I don't mind hip hop but I also like loads of other music, why isn't there a rock forum or classical music or blues.

my suggestion is that you find another website that does have a forum focused directly on the genre of music that you are passionate about. i am sure that you will get some very well educated and legitimate responses from people on this particular forum on your genre as well, but i think that you would probably get a little more in depth with those who also have sought out the particular type of music that you are interested in.

I would post in other music sub-forums if they existed on this site. I don't think we should specifically merge this sub into a general forum though. I think this place does pretty well as far as sub-forums go.

If there was a strong enough influence for the powers that be to make a general music forum they would have done it already.

I do like it when people who regularly post in here make threads talking about other genres though. Somebody made a, "what other types of music do you listen to" thread and I thought it was great. But would I kill this lil forum....nah.

I agree with your idea.. I think it should be opended up to all music.
