The concept of the list includes body of work yes. But it also includes popularity and the mixtape circuit. 50 has put out some good mixtapes. Lupe has a great album. And I think he should be in the list. I like his spot.

Lupe put out 4 good mixtapes before he dropped his 2 albums. 50 is better known in the media but that is about it. I understand what you're saying though.

Poeple sadly these days have a prejudiced view of the hardest working man in hiphop, and listen to his material partially and misjudge it.

When both his mixtapes been downloaded over milions of times because its free, and its quality, why am i putting emphasis on the mixtapes?
Because it played such a huge role in making Wayne number one last year.

But before you criticize me for not knowing rap and being a commercial fanboy, listen to those mixtapes, he even made videos for some of the songs,

Offcourse he lost to kanye in his battle, but still sold over 1 milion and outsold him worldwide. Thats pretty hot, even though half the album got leaked before release.

But behind succesful men, thereas always a flock of haters, who like so called underground rap, That they think is so much different from whats on the surface.
