The far right media has been the foundation of the false realities and fake conspiracy theories for decades. It’s very well documented going back to the 70’s with talk radio hosts such as Bob Grant leading to Rush Limbaugh and his clones, leading to the Hannity and his clones. Right up to “Ill make everything up” web sites such as Infowars. Trump was smart enough to realize their was a massive uneducated underclass that believed these distortions of reality AND their was a support structure already in place that would gleefully support every lie he uttered.
