Not a fan of the designer stuff. Too expensive, also. Yeah, it's got a higher THC level; but I'm reminded of what an old friend of mine said to me shortly after I'd taken my first toke: "there's only so high you can get". Just never saw the point in getting fried. Completely ruined the experience.
Anyway, the new stuff is definitely stronger and comes in a greater variety. I just find it weird, I guess, since one of the things that was preached to me was how it was a natural herb which grew in the ground. "God" created it, so to speak. Some of the same cats I used to smoke with, who said that, are now touting this designer stuff. LOL!! It's like they were big anti-GMO folks, until they go ahold of genetically modified weed....or whatever.
Anyway, science isn't a bad thing. I just like the original recipe. lol
The new stuff is just a long stronger than the old stuff; but, I've also become a bit of a lightweight, as I hardly smoke anymore, thanks to testing at my job.
imo, 90s weed got me wayyyyy more high!!! but 2000s weed has more flavors, terps, etc. 90s weed, i remember there's usually no taste to it, and if you score some bomb then it stinks like skunk. lots of weed nowadays doesnt resemble this anymore. most of the weed nowadays is some fruity "exotic" shiiet.
