couldnt any country be pulled in to a war by one of the more powerful nations ?

not saying it would be bombed or invaded but it could be used as a base or holding camp

not likely with costa rica but i wouldnt feel " safe " during a world war anywhere

Depends on the nature of it.

I haven't believed in the American mission abroad in a long time (there isn't one - it's auctioned off to the highest bidder and the US is effectively a mercenary force for the rest of the world) but I'd be willing to fight in a Balkanization movement within the US aimed at splitting off from the political influence of CA/NY.
