Why is Israel our "greatest ally"?

I'm just a simple man. Sometimes it seems like we are fighting Israel's wars for them. So ********* says Iraq has WMDs and we must invade. We do our thing. No WMDs found.
Am I right that we should maybe rethink f@ I'm a Conservative ********** but some things need to be addressed with our side. I'm talking about the people like Lindsey Graham, Nikki Haley and so on. Those types, who literally never criticize Israel and always push their narrative. Is it because their world view in politics was formed a long time ago by neo con jevvs? Or is it something more glaring where they're unwittingly or knowingly assets to Israel? I'm not sure what to think about *****. He's objectively Israel's biggest supporter. However I do think there is some strategy there where by buttering them up 90% of the time leaves him a window to pull big power plays like pulling out of Syria without causing a stir.
To go more in depth, what does Israel mean to America? More Jevvs live in NY state than the entirety of Israel. Ben Shapiro would say I'm being "antisemitic" questioning of whether Jevvs are loyal to Israel over America. Furthermore, Ashke**** ***s aren't Semitic at all. So there goes that quip. ******* Jevvs would say I'm being "racist". Oh really? How can a religion be both a race and a religion? What am I 70% Christian? Who are the real racist might I add?

So true. ***s are overly represented in many top fields of study. I think a lot of people do not really understand old school ***ish culture. ***s, we love to argue. When I say argue, I’m not implying we like fighting with words.

I grew up having to explain why I had beliefs that often differed with the older generations. If you ever read the Torah, on your own, without commentaries, or explanations given by the greatest ***ish scholars and venerated Rabbi, you might say I kinda get it. But, if you get input from commentaries or venerated scholars over thousands of years, you’ll scratch your head confused.

I don't have a single, simple position on Israel; on one hand I agree they do have a right to defend themselves and are generally acting in justifiable defense.

They are perpetually a hair away from being ethnically overwhelmed and turned into a dead wasteland ala Rhodesia.
It's a difficult situation for Americans (where exotic cultures are always portrayed as weak, harmless, cute) to comprehend living under constant existential thread.

On the other hand I just can't play along with the rhetoric of the Israel lobby in the US. Greatest ally, etc... It's a very one-sided relationship with no real economic or military benefits on the US side that aren't massively offset by what Israel is receiving.
