i like the crowds at the side of the roads, often there are young, pretty, slutty dressed european women watching the riders.

the commentary is also funny, a couple years ago phil leggatt, i think he used to be a tour cyclist in the late 70's, got all excited when one of the superstar riders was within 3 km of the finish line and his tire started going flat. phil said," ....it's gone soft...His Tire's gone soft!" it sounded just like froome or whoever had just lost his erection, i was laughing for almost 10 minutes.

Several great stages awaits us including the Paris-Roubaix copy and 2 short mountain stages that guarantee drama.

The Tour de France happens every year. And it is a bike race.

The World Cup happens once every four years and is the world's most popular sport. Coincidentally, France is in the World Cup final. If the cyclists wanted people to watch and/or pay attention, they would not have their biggest event competing with the freaking World Cup.

The next three years I will watch a little, and at least know the names of the top contenders. I will pay some attention. But during the World Cup? Whoever does the scheduling needs to be fired.

Tough stage today as riders are scaling hills and mountainous terrain in the French countryside.

Spectacular crash on the descent by Gilbert today. Flying over the road side crashing after a free fall of some 4 yards. Up on his bike and complete the stage. Man of iron.
