However, he later returned to Ireland as a missionary to teach Christianity to the Irish

She married king Malcolm who took over as king of Scotland after Macbeth

Malcolm, who was the son of a Saxon woman (and of course Duncan, the king of Scotland killed by Macbeth) received assistance from England in his war against Macbeth

English royalty and much of European royalty can trace their ancestry back to king Malcolm and Saint Margaret

Macbeth wasn't really as evil as Shakespeare portrayed, the man who was king when Shakespeare wrote the play (James I) was a direct descendant of King Duncan and his son King Malcolm (supported by the English) so the real historical story was changed to make Macbeth out to be a murderer
