Sorry - I believe that rapists are animals, and not worthy of human dignity.

I don't like to bring it up because people are taught it's politically incorrect, and most people can't handle hearing the truth.

But let's be honest here. There is a huge problem with black males committing violent crime. Just like there's a problem with white males and shooting sprees. It's not helping anybody to ignore the elephant in the room. Maybe this lounge isn't the right place to have that conversation, but I'm saying that it needs to be had. ***** even said so himself when he was elected. If we ever want to live in a world without racism, or come as close as possible, we can't pretend like race doesn't exist (whether you believe it's a real biological concept, or simply a social classification - it's still "real" in the world we live in.)

And it's not "police racism, and profiling." Because the NCVS (National Crime Victimization Survey) statistics supports the UCR (Uniform Crime Report) statistics. The UCR is arrests made, and collected by state and federal agencies (police, and FBI). However, the NCVS, which is a questionnaire filled out by victims of crime, where they are asked "what type of crime were you a victim of," and "what was the race, age, etc. of the attacker." And these surveys filled out by victims, match the arrest data.

So either it's a conspiracy by the police and the victims to make sure they lie on this survey (if they happen to be one of the random ones selected to fill it out).


This is a conversation we need to have. Why is this happening? Is it because of the violent history of America? Because of effects of slavery, and denial of civil rights for so long (I definitely think this plays some role in it). Is it the culture most are raised in? Socioeconomic factors? We need to have this discussion, so we can address the issue. What is racist, is ignoring, and acting like there's not a correlation with race, and certain types of violent crime (correlation, NOT causation).


These are discussions we need to have, rather than ignoring that race shouldn't matter, or be brought up. All that does is say "you're not important enough to matter. We'll just keep locking you up and throwing away the key. Who cares why you are more prone to these types of crime."
