Most fights end on the ground when your dealing with 99% of the public. This is why I tell people, MMA fighters have a huge advantage in street fighting.

exactly. it's much safer to have your chest on top of a grounded opponent than it is to be standing up and trading punches at arm's length.

to use a boxing buzzword, wrestling is more effective than trading punches.
