I feel that but we just started dating, didn't want to be that guy. As we progress I'll probably tell her I don't want her to be around him as much. Maybe I will see him and he will be better next time. He will see that he has no shot and I'm the one with her.

Basically this thread pretty much has made me think I just shouldn't give a ***. I'll do my thing and if he is there it's cool, if not even better. I shouldn't worry about having all her friends like me.

it's not the military, homey. sometimes you got to at least pretend you can let **** slide. the guy could have turned out to be an OK dude.

Just spend more time with her. The more time she spends with you the less time she'll spend with him. If she starts puppy dogging him around on more of your dates though, then maybe say something. I agree that telling her she can't hang out with him is a terrible idea.

I dated this really hot girl for several years who had these two dorky beta guys that were obviously completely in love with her. I'm a huge dork too, just the kind that can steal your girlfriend. Despite sharing similar interests with these guys and trying to spark up conversations, I could tell right away they were never gonna like me. If you like her that much and she likes you too you'll want to spend lots of time together. Just plan activities where inviting a third person wouldn't present itself.

Sorry to let you down, brah. You're right like a lot of people, I shouldn't even worry or bother. I just thought it would be nice to make sure everyone that she puts herself around likes me, or respects me. Dude is a total **** block.
