Question to religious people.

Its also probably the most powerful method of personal survival for many. That an afterlife means hope for the hopeless.

Remove the belief in an afterlife, and those same religious believer's will then strive with a passion to better life on earth and more importantly, strive against corruption and evil where ever they find it.

I dont get how you reach that conclusion. Ive heard so many times from some religious people that without God or an afterlife, they sadly see no purpose in their existence. For many, their faith gives them the focus and passion to help others.
(im not saying that religious belief is necessary to gain hope, altruism or purpose etc, but many religious people feel it is)
