For real though, most adults would obviously return the trouble maker back to his home and explain what had happened to his/her parents. Hopefully the address the situation accordingly.

I would watch to see how well my son can fight, and allow him to gain his first combat experience.

If he loses, I would **** the other dude up for hurting my son and run away before any witnesses come. Then we would go over why he lost and what to do different next time.

Fighting is never a good thing and it could lead you to jail or the hospital, but sometimes it's necessary.
