Most of us work jobs we hate for little money anyway, so it not hard to believe most would choose the $100 hate option in real life

if you work 40 hours a week $100 an hour is 200 K + a year. that's more than some doctors make...
a check for four grand every week?
sh#t...
if you really can't stand the work you can just put your head down for 10 years and easily bank a million. then you do something else.
i'd do almost anything for that amount of money right now, especially with a down housing market.
you could buy a starter home/condo every year in cash in certain areas, and rent it in a market where rents are sky high.
in 10 years you'd be unbelievably wealthy. if the housing market rebounded so would your kids and their grandkids.

I understand the premise of the thread, but somebody making $100 hour will most likely be highly educated and/or skilled. If they do happen to hate their current career they probably have options to find a another good paying job that they hate a little less.
I'm broke, and hate my job. Winner winner, chicken dinner.
