you don't get a lost of assists playing in the triangle.

check out the stats of all the assists for bulls and lakers point guards through the years.
i'm not comparing kobe to jordan, tua. the argument is kobe compared to lebron.

mak says kobe, unlike lebron doesn't play in a system where the ball is not distributed, and stays in the star player's hands 90% of the time.

what mak didn't mention was that somehow, kobe also took more shots than lebron last season, while playing in FEWER games.....

          .....
shots doesn't have anything to do with time of possession.

that's why i laugh when people say kobe is a ballhog.

kobe shoots a lot he doesn't hog the ball much.

once in a while but he doesn't dominate the ball.

a lot of kobe's shots (like mj) was when he barely had the ball for a second.

the triangle puts a lot of pressure on their star. that's why it's not successful without a kobe/mj type player.

triangle passes the ball around the perimeter to get better looks. if that look doesn't come , it gets dumped off on the star with little time left.

that's why you see kobe jack up a lot of awful last second shots.

he is a shooting guard...in the triangle where roles are defined, that's what he's supposed to do

i have a feeling the points im making are going in one ear and out the other

i don't worship stats, i use them to back up my opinion....otherwise i'd be like 90% of the other posters on this site.

i don't just come on here and post ****, just for the sake, if i'm gonna argue with you, i'm gonna try to back it up.

i said lebron's a better all-around player than kobe, although kobe's a bigger threat last shot. i used stats to back up my opinion.

you can't argue kobe plays in a system where the ball is distributed more, and give that as a reason lebron's numbers are higher, then forget to mention lebron averages more assists AND takes fewer shots, while playing more games. it doesn't add up.

neither does fg %, 3 pt %, blocks, and steals.

fact, Lebron has never lead the league in shot attempts. He also averaged over 7assists in most of the seasons and 8.5 last season. and people like to call him a ball hog. the guy is a point forward. He is as much a ball hog as steve nash, chris paul and deron williams. Hell, even magic should be considered more of a ball hog by that criteria.

I know its ridiculous to say this about a player who won 2 mvp's and is getting the most attention in this free agent off season, but I think Lebron is the most underrated and hated player in the NBA ATM. It's sad that people don't recognize the astronomical level at which Lebron is playing at.

the same applies to you. anyone who says Lebron can't shoot, does not "watch the games".
