The Wire, Rome, Deadwood, Band of Brothers, and Sopranos are all solid.

Carnival and 6 feet under are interesting but harder to find and get into.

I know some people like true blood, but I never got into it.

Same here. Seems f@ggy to me. My g/f loves it though. Strikes me as a chick show.

But for my money, Big Love is one of the best shows ever created.

Dexter, Californication, Weeds, Nurse Jackie, and U.S Of Tara are all amazing shows.

Dexter and Californication usually are paired....best hour and a half of TV you can possibly watch. Those are the two best shows of their kind on television.

I'd hardly go that far. It was kinda' interesting but compared to some of their other series it just didn't hold up.

I'd also say the first 3 seasons of Entourage are great; beyond that they're all downhill.

Weeds and Dexter are really good... but the rest are all trash and I wouldn't put Weeds above any of shows I recommended and would put Dexter somewhere in the middle.
