Because it's NYC and they have the 3rd most money to give out in contracts. Not to mention they could very easily sign Tony parker, Lebron James and Chris Bosh and become instant contenders.

It's May, take what players say with a grain of salt. With the way Hill played and guys like Ginobli and Duncan just getting older, I don't think Parker at 27 years old wants to finish out his career with the Spurs.

If you can get an opportunity to play with Lebron, you do it.
