The Cavs vs Magic game during halftime they had the Sports Science people on there showing some Lebron James dunks and the guy said that.
"James can punch harder than Tyson even during his prime."
They just said that if Lebron could convert the leverage he generates from his dunks into a straight punch, he could punch harder than Mike. Not sure about that since they are using straight up physics calculations which I seriously doubt applies to real world applications.

Okay, that's what I figured.
He's a big guy I'm sure he packs a punch, but harder than Tyson?
I agree he wouldn't get the same leverage anyway.

Just like they had that special feature about the force generated by those MMA guys during a ground and pound. I think they were measuring Couture's elbow blows to the head of a dummy as an example and if I remember correctly, the figure that they came up with would flatten an opponents face upon impact.
How many times have we seen an MMA fighter's head flattened due to a single elbow to the head?
