I dislike Gates but doubt he's the anti-Christ. Nothing in the Bible about evil AI taking over the world, though I would like to see Jesus fight one of those liquid metal terminators on PPV.

Bill Gates gets a bad rep because of Microsoft's monopolistic tactics in the 80s and 90s. Embrace, Extend, Extinguish tactic was even documented in staff memos. However, Microsoft have redeemed themselves in the following way:

1. Gates is probably the most philanthropic billionaire today, donating 4 billion so far of his personal wealth. No one comes close. He's very understated about it, too, and doesn't brag.

2. The Windows Operating system has grown leaps and bounds since the BSOD era. Windows 10/11 are actually very good and free to use. The whole thing about telemetry is nothing but schizos. Imagine, you have an OS that is installed in millions of computers around the world. Without telemetry, features that are broken or unnecessary will never be resolved and you end up in the days of Windows 95/98 where nothing was ever fixed and you'd have to wait for the next OS release (Windows ME?). As for ADS, if most people calmed down they'd realise this is a good thing. I would rather have an AD that is relevant to my interests, and remember all personal and identifiable information is removed. And then people complain when they see annoying ADS on their YouTube TV clients....yeah, turn on personalised ADS for a better experience. I wouldn't have known about a brilliant mouse that helped eliminate all my wrist pain if it wasn't for Google ADS.

3. Microsoft listens to their customers. They have reversed almost every decision that consumers hated. The online requirement for XBOX. Bringing back the taskbar in Windows 10. Increasing backwards compatibility for the most wanted games on new consoles (Fight Night Champion hasn't died exactly for this reason).

4. Compare this with Sony who hiked up prices, offer limited compatibility, bribe reviewers (see Gran Turismo 7), demand exclusivity and block cross-play (see Fortnite history). Do you think Sony would agree to a ten year deal for COD to be multi-platform if they owned it?

Bill Gates is essentially good and so is MS. His company actually enriches peoples lives with free, useful software and own the biggest open-source site (github). What the **** do Elon and Musk offer humanity? Useless bickering on social media and fast delivery of unnecessary garbage.

Not for nothing but why would you dislike Gates? He not outspoken about any topic and has donated a phuck ton of money helping the less fortunate.

Gates does great work for charity. He also is for skin taging people which historically has not worked out when people were marked. He is a powerful man, and one at the technological controls.

Bill Gates had access to computers as a teenager in an age where middle class people couldn't afford their own computers.

His parents were professors or something, so he had a big advantage over "normal" people when it came to learning computers before they were widely available.
