His music and sound is unique. He wrote and performed the best selling album of all time, which happens to be a damn good album at that. Not only that but just look at his other work. His voice in the Jackson 5 was out of this world considering how young he was.

My older brother was a huge MJ fan so before I could speak my own language right I could sing a few MJ songs. I remember going to his room as a little kid to annoy him.. and the first thing you met when entered his room was MJ posters and his albums on repeat constantly. I really grew up on his music.
