So you got knocked out by Chelsea in 04 for the same reason Monaco knocked you out this season? Lmao. Any other years we should know about as to why your own arrogance got you knocked out?

Let me just leave this here. In 99 and 08, we were unbeaten in the CL. Fully deserved victories.
Like I said, I think that is a failing of those Wenger's sides.

It was infuriating how we didn't kill games off when we were so superior. I still remember that Michael Owen FA Cup Final - we completely battered Liverpool that day.

The point is you didn't play that great football in either season. Going unbeaten in the CL could mean you sc****d results....which you did. Both were good United sides with some fine players but in pure football terms, they could not hold a candle to the Invincibles.

When I mentioned the Invincibles, I'm talking about a combined style with substance that has never been seen in English football. People had never seen anything like it and still haven't.

It's the drawback of being so talented. It happens to a lot of great fighters - Roy Jones, Naz, James Toney, Donaire. You are so naturally gifted that you sometimes get complacent and feel that you don't need to learn the fundamentals or work as hard.

United's 99 side had some talented players and also had more primitive Gary Neville/Roy Keane grafter types. A more typical British style football.

The Invincibles were a more cultured continental style. People had never seen that before and were amazed. It was like the second coming of Jesus to most British people to see that kind of football being displayed on these shores.

If the Invincibles turn up in the mood, they'd toy with that 99 team. I think the Barca sides would be more of a challenge although we did school them at the Emirates already with a lesser team.

Wait what? Your invincibles team drew both premier league games with United and lost to us in the fa cup semi finals..

A united team that didnt win anything for a few years also

Hardly evidence that you would toy with anyone..

            The United team containing

Vds.. Evra.. Ferdinand.. Vidic.. Rafeal.. Ronaldo.. Giggs.. scholes.. Carrick.. Rooney.. Tevez is the best team the premier league has seen..

Won three titles back to back.. won Cl.. got Into three Cl finals

I mean those are just facts.. the 99 team was good.. but I think that team outside of the right back slot were all world class

Arsenal should have won the league that year. We were in the lead for a long way and then Eduardo got his leg broken at Birmingham and we kept getting dodgy refereeing decisions against us.

United were not an entertaining team that year. Outside of C.Ronaldo's goals, they were a pretty functional side. I don't think they beat Arsenal in the league that season either and they lost to Portsmouth in the FA Cup so what does that have to do with anything?

He sold it, but he shouldn't have even been in that position man. He needs to play safer.

That is the one major fault of those Arsenal teams - the year before the Invincibles, we played just as good football and should have romped the league but we played around with teams too much and didn't finish them off. A bit different from "getting our asses handed to us" as you so idiotically put it.

United got their asses handed to them in many games in the 99 season and pulled it out through a never say die attitude and well frankly a lot of luck. It wasn't because you were necessarily a better team. Bayern played you off the park in that final. So I guess they deserve credit for that.

You're acting like Ferguson created some European Odyssey.
                      This arrogance argument again.

Arsenal have a habit of losing big games because they are lacking.

They might have a chance of beating Chelsea this time because they are 10 points behind and the race is all but run - Arsenal are better when it doesn't really matter. But you can guarantee if the teams were level on points Arsenal would be pulling down their trousers and preparing their anus.
