Alienware to release steambox more powerful than the PS4 & Xbox1

All Steamboxes will be more powerful than PS4/XB1. They have up to date PC specs and from what I have read, they are upgradeable. So you can do away with your graphics card when you decide you want next gen graphics and get a new one. As it has been said, the problem with steam box is that it is Linux based. However, i'm reading some sh-t about it being able to play Windows games as well. I am keeping an eye on this from time to time.
BTW Alienware is overpriced.

But what about under the hood? Alienware is once again keeping its plans close to its chest, but the PC maker has confirmed that it will use an Intel-based CPU and a discrete Nvidia GPU. Given its diminutive size, a model from Nvidia's unannounced next-generation of laptop GPUs seems likely. In terms of performance, Alienware says it surpasses both the Xbox One and the PS4 in raw power, and the company is targeting native resolutions of 1080p.

The steambox may be more powerful than the ps4 and xbox1, but I doubt there will be any games out for the system worth buying anyways.

Alienware is overpriced my man, and if I am correct, isn't Steambox just a "console" PC to run all the games on Steam? What makes this better than a PC? Of course I can see it being valuable to a casual consumer, because on the other hand I'm able to just put together my own PC.

Great another overpriced shiny toy if its anything like the steam machines in that link that have been also hyped, then I say I have......actually I did recently similar rigs to their expensive ones for 800 and some change and there is no better way to get what you want than to get it yourself. The only reason to pay these people that money is if you dont have the know how or care to bother to put your own machine together.
