Now Is the Worst Time To Buy A PS4 Or Xbox One

Basically what most of us already know, and what i've been saying since mid 2013 when I saw the launch titles. Obvious reason, but good article.

....Before all the PlayStation and Xbox fans pounce on me, I'm not saying the new consoles are bad devices. If you're serious about gaming and want to be on the cutting edge, stop reading now and go stand in line for your new console.

But for most people, buying either the PS4 or Xbox One this year would be like buying a car without any gas. What good is a video game console if it doesn't have any games you want to play? In the meantime, developers will make new titles for the PS3 and Xbox 360 since each of those consoles will continue to have tens of millions of players who haven't upgraded yet. You won't be missing out.

I learned my lesson about jumping onboard with next gen consoles last generation with my first 360 and my first PS3. Both died out rather quickly, with the 360 going out on me about 6 months before the PS3 did.

Combine the statistics for hardware failure that's to be expected of new consoles (PS4 is already experiencing them) and the lack of system sellers due to the consoles being rushed for the holiday season (like they always are), then factor in the fact that new gen consoles always equal price drops on current gen games and consoles, and it's the perfect storm of gaming.

These ****s can have their fun with their PS4s and Xbox Ones, I'll be busy building the ultimate current gen gaming collection for the next year or two and saving more money in the process.

didn't buy my system on launch but I still have my PS3 80GB MGS4 edition and 360 Arcade looks like Sony is the one having quality control issues this time around

The vast majority of the games you listed will also be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3, which is where I'll be playing them. Most of them were in development for the 360/PS3 before the Xbox One and PS4 were even announced, so the differences in gameplay from the current gen to next gen will be minimal and most likely be limited to higher resolution.

From where I'm standing, there isn't a game coming out in the next year that is a console seller. Meaning that it's exclusive only to the Xbox One of PS4 and buying one of those would be the only way to play it.

Hell, just finished deadspace, just started bioshock. After those, unto dishonored and fable, The xbox 1 will have to wait until I'm damn good and ready. And that's not gonna be for at the very least another year.
