EA and Microsoft trying to Blame DRM on each other

So as i expected the extreme DRM measures xbox one took blew up in their face, while they tried to blame developers to focus negativity off them now Publishers are firing back and passing the DRM hot potato back to Microsoft's lap.

"Asked by Polygon whether EA had lobbied Microsoft to implement the restrictions, Moore replied, "Absolutely incorrect. As the guy who is the chief operating officer of Electronic Arts I can tell you that EA did not aggressively lobby for the platform holders to put some gating function in there to allow or disallow used games. I am on record as being a proponent of used games."
This makes me very happy we turned DRM as Gamers into something seen as very negative on consoles we have shaped the way this industry is going to go or stay. Now they cant try hard enough to distance themselves from Microsoft like its the plague.

Keywords so what type of lobbying did they do then? Passive? Nice try EA.

Exactly. It's all in the wording.

They're both rotten apples at this point and I wouldn't take a bite of either even if it was given for free

It's definitely EA fault trust me. EA promised Microsoft exclusives and for them to get games first with exclusive content. Anytime to companies sign a partnership deal something isn't right.
I remember EA already thinking of a plan to keep players from trade and loaning game. They wanted to force players to be stuck with a game they didn't like or finished.

Someone should tell the EA guy they already charged people to play used games online making them buy a online pass. Microsoft wouldn't have done it just because EA wanted it though.
