I downloaded League of Legends played it once and never got round to playing it again. Seemed like a pretty cool game tough, may have to give it another go.

I've played DOTA for years on and off and have like 300 games logged on League of Legends. I still think dota is the better game, even with the limitations of the WC3 engine.

- Heros and skills are much more varied overall
- More advanced techniques including denying (creeps, towers, and even friendly heroes)
- dota just seems faster paced to me

I like LoL (and currently play it) but I thought dota was more fun and addictive, thus a longer lasting appeal.
