Wow, this game is crazy scary. I like scary games like Dead Space, but this is totally original. Dead Space is like horror scary this is heart racing scary. Has anyone played it?
Your a guy who wakes up in 1 19th century Prussian castle. You find a note next to you from yourself explaining that you have to kill someone in the castle, and there are reasons why you wiped your memory by drinking a concocsion. Your letter to yourself reassures you that you chose to do this and theres a warning that a shadow is haunting you and all you can do is run from it. Sounds scary right? Well it is!
You have a lifebar and a Sanity bar. The sanity bar is unique to Amnesia. You lose your sanity when you are in the dark or witness scary things; a breeze, mysterious sounds, monsters. Since there are no weapons in the game you have to avoid the monsters that often appear and disappear. You can do this by running the **** away and hiding. If your sanity is too low then your easy prey.
I just saw my first monster, some kind of ghost or something. I hear some monster moaning and I run cause I wanted to get a glimpse of it because I haven't seen anything yet, LOL. I ran down the hall to look through another hallway, didn't see anything. Turned around and right next to me was some kind of ghost that appeared right next to me. I dont think the noise came from it and my heart jumped and was racing as I ran away. When I realized its just a game I went back because I wanted a better look and I couldnt get it to reappear. I'm glad though, thing scaried this hell out of me.
Game is 20 bucks on Steam. Its a low budget game from some small game maker. It has great reviews. Theres some videos on youtube about it.
