[HOLY S**T!] Does Gta IV have one of the worst game engines ever for the pc?

I can't believe that this game runs like **** on everyones computer, you have to have the most recent video card to even have this game look good. Its pretty dumb in my opinion that I can run Just Cause 2 great but I run GTA IV like a piece of ****. How do I run every other great for the most part except GTA and Saints Row pc? Both games run like total turds on my computer yet I can run other open-world games like Just Cause 2 fine at high resolutions and high graphics at like 1600x resolution or whatever its called.

I go online to alot of pc gaming forums, and its not just me. Its like 95 percent of people can't run GTA IV pc that good or decent.

Man honestly its bull**** and im done with Pc gaming.. i shouldn't have to pay alot for a top end computer and have it 1 or 2 years later having problems playing the latest game.

I hear you guys, GTA IV is one of the worst console to pc port ever made. I played through it on high setting getting 30-60 fps. But i was lucky i guess, cause some people with much better pc than me couldn't even run it.

The worst port i have ever seen has to be Saints Row two, it's garbage on pc. If i could meet the people who decided it was ok to release a game that poorly optimized i'd spit in their ****ing faces.


I used to be a die hard pc gamer but i bought a 360 and only still play a couple of games on pc. Pc gaming is dying, the only thing that will always be somewhat popular on pc are mmorpg's.

Just take modern warfare 2 for example, at peek hour there are about 20,000 people playing in on pc. At the same time there are 600k to 1mil people playing on the 360. And that's a shooter.

Yeah, it was a really bad port. First time I tried it, the textures wouldn't even show up properly. I thought for sure Rockstar could do a better job with getting it to pc.
