Team Ninja will definitely be well-represented during the upcoming TGS event. And that's even without Tomonobu Itagaki.
Newly appointed Tecmo CEO Yasuharu Kakihara has announced in a press conference at Tokyo today that their Team Ninja studio will be bringing with them three action titles on the TGS show floor. This bit of information was dropped when Kakihara was discussing their lineup for the year.
With Itagaki out the picture, the head of Team Ninja is one Jin Hasegawa. Their studio is already working on these three action titles. Unfortunately, no details about these upcoming games were revealed.
As some of you may know, Team Ninja has only ever worked on two franchises: Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. Both of which had huge contributions from Itagaki. Will the three new games take from these franchises or will they be revealing new IPs? More so... for what platforms will they be releasing them?
I'm also curious about that whole "Square Enix wants to take over Tecmo" business... Kakihara seems to be keeping mum about it.
