    XBOX 360......Red Ring of Death?

    Anyone have an XBOX 360 and subsequentley had the "red ring of death" happen to it. It happened to my son and I as we were playing baseball.

    Has anyone had any experience with this...any solutions

    you have to send it off and wait over a month to get it back, hope u have other hobbies.

      Hell yeah....Just got a PS3.

      But I still like the 360. I'll have to send it off and get it fixed.

        just got an expensive ass dust collector now cuz im to lazy to send it to get fixed

          why keep it broken? microsoft will fix it for free all u gotta do is pay for shipping it off.

            Yeah it happened to me last January, just contact Microsoft and send it in. I got mine back within a week, but I remember reading in the main Xbox forums that sometimes it could take months.

            But now I keep mine covered with a PC cover when I'm not usin it and I make sure it's out in the open when it's turned on. Fragile piece's of **** break down when they overheat and when they get too much dust on em.

              This has just happened to me last night, I was gonna post a thread about it, if you got the receipt still and they say these mother ****ers have a year guarantee, you reckon they will let me take it back and pay the extra for a ps3 or will I have to send it off to get fixed? On the last level of Halo 3 to what a *****.

                your best bet is to ship it off for a fix, unless you qualify for your store's return poilcy.

                    I spoke to Microsoft (XBOX)...they are sending me a prepaid box to ship my XBOX and stated it would be about 3-4 weeks from the time I send it to when I get it back.

                    I asked the customer service guy (I think he was in India) if this happens alot and he said no...........
