    brand new boxer here

I just started to get into boxing and I'm really diggin' it. Does anyone know if this will make my upper body more muscular and defined? I'm new to all this *stuff* (hah) but I can't wait. I try for 5 sets of 5 minute sessions on my bag every morning. Can someone lay out a good workout for me? Thanks guys!

Do alot of running in the morning
      Do push ups
      Do sit ups
      Do crunchies
      Do speed bag work
      Do heavy bag work
      Do skipping
      Do shoulder exercises
      Do hip exercises

Theres some of the main work you should concentrate on. And if your gonna get serious about boxing you have to eat properly i,ll name some foods:

      For Protien:
      Chicken
      Steak
      Ground beef
      Tuna
      Nuts
      Eggs
      Turkey

      For Carbohydrates:
      Oatmeal
      Wheat bread
      Potatoes
      Veggies
      Fruit

      Fat Sources:
      Peanut butter
      Olive oil
      Egg yolk

Carbohydrates are for energy and protein is for muscle repair and growth.

Heres a site that will also help you when starting out:

Oh and always drink lots of water, try drinking about a gallon of it a day. Happy boxing.

I swear, all these "new guys" are really alts. I'm sick of typing the same **** over and over again.

To the thread starter, do a search for it.

Try building your away up to 6 miles every morning of running. Start off with 1 mile and trying to improve your time and work from there. Do not sprint only run 75% of your max ability.

              Why stop at 6 miles?

I said work your way upto 6 miles because not much people go above that, but if you would like to push yourself for more then go for it.

True man. Running at a steady jog, how long should 6mi typically take?
