Advice for first junior cadet boxing match

    Hello,

My name is Martin, 16 years old and I'm from Ireland. I'm training for my first amateur boxing match, which will take place on the 28th of june. I'm gonna fight in the -54kg (120lbs) class. My height is 175cm (5'8'').

My opponent is an amateur 16 year old from Ireland too. He weighs 130lbs but would cut to 120, his height is 5?? And he has a record of 5 wins and 3 loss.

    I train 5/7 days a week:
    - 2 times a week interval running
    - 1 time a week strength training
    - 5 times a week boxing training (sparring, heavybag, shadow boxing, jump rope, etc.)

    My question is:

What else do I have to train to be successful on my first match

what else can I do for conditioning

I heard of some of my gymmates shaving, do I need to shave my underarm hair before I fight?

What boxer shorts do you guys suggest for agility?

I think it's time for me to really focus on a game plan and the basics.

    Thanks in advance.

    Greetings,
    Martin

He's suspended and not getting a paid site. Something about
a comment about a fat girlfriend.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.

When ever your opponent tries to punch you in your face..... move your face and punch him in his face. Remember to control your breathing in there and kick his ass!...….Rockin'
