How can I get more sleep?

I can never fall to sleep. Now since it's summer, I go to sleep usually at 3 in the morning and such, but school is starting in about a month and I need to get ready for waking up early in the morning. Last year, I always woke up late and I need to change that.

Right now, I usually go to sleep at 3 AM or 4 AM in the morning but by September I need to be able to fall asleep by 9 PM-10 PM and wake up at 5 AM. What are some things I can do try to fall asleep earlier.

Today I went to bed at 9 and slept but woke up at 11. Then I tried going back to sleep until 1:30 AM I realized it wasn't happening so I'm up now.

You have a biological clock in you. Just start working out hardcore so you get sleepy before you hit the hay and you'll be fine. Either that or:
      1) Drink a cooler really fast right before you go to bed
      2) Take a couple tylenol's before you go to bed

Ok, I might do that. Maybe at 6 PM I'll go swimming for an hour or something then take a tylenol and hopefully be asleep at 9-10.

I take sleeping tablets. My body is totally ****ed! I do rotational shift work and my hours are
6am-6pm for one week (day shift)
6pm-6am the next week (night shift)
and 2pm-2am (afternoon shift) on the 3rd week before i go back to day shift. On night shift i get about 3-4 hours sleep a day and i still do ****loads of exercise (10-12 hours a week). The exercise does nothing for me. I take stilnox, tamazapen and have tried euhipnol. My body never adjusts and is constantly thrown around.
