Keep your balance...
Take a look at your stance, you may not have mastered it correctly without a trainer. Don't try to throw everything into the straight right unless your going to hit. Be sure to stay balanced and to throw the straight correctly.

how far apart should your feet be. I read shouler width, and one string step foward, but that seems good for balance, bad for pivot

You might be just throwing too much weight behind your right and it's making you lose your balance. Practice technique before your practice power.

I don't just step forward, it's more of a 45 degree angle, so my hips can open up a little. The power's a bit like a corkscrew and it's all in the pushing off of your feet into the pivot of your hips, not just forward momentum.
If it means anything, falling forward on your cross sounds a lot like Dempsey's drop step (which is not a corkscrew type power).

what is a dempsey drop step? lol. Also I find having shoes on helps lol. Sometimes I step foward with my right foot when I throw it

I think maybe one problem is that when Im throwing it by my bag theres no room. I also have externally rotated hips or legs or something mainly my right
