Poor Sam. Mundine had his number and beat him 3 times.

It’s good to see Sam in good spirits. Good drill, ShoulderRoll probably already knows it but while we’re on Aus, for more punch volume this Fenech drill helped me. Link is at the bottom. Try 3 sets, last one use 5lb dumbbells, do the first set with just gloves on...warm up and then second set with some wrist weights (I use titles red pro ones, 1.5lb per). (1 set is 2 rounds) so you’ll be doing six rounds of this, for the third set use five pound dumbbells. Even if shoulders are already warm, I would still progress in weight and just gloves for the first set, then move to weights and then the 5lb dumbbells.

I've done Fenech's dumbbell exercises before. They get a big thumbs up from me.

I was going to make a comment about them when you posted in that other thread. Just ran out of time and never got around to it.

They burn your shoulders real good. Definitely start off light.

There’s another good coordination drill that I’ve come across that helped me familiarize with southpaw a bit. Fran Sanz is a guy who’s a coach with a good bit of videos out there and he had about 40-60 amateur contests. One of the drills he does is this. Start with plenty room behind you preferably in front of a mirror but mirror is not necessary. Orthodox stance :jab, then pivot to almost squared, but squared how you’d be squared in southpaw with the right foot couple inches in front, then unload a left hook. Then, continue the pivot to where your rear foot Ends up in southpaw, with you launching a southpaw power rear hand uppercut. You’ll find yourself in southpaw. Same thing, jab, pivot to square, unload the right hook, pivot to orthodox, unload the right uppercut. Then again and again.

I’ll dig out the link. Most of what Fran preaches o agree with, He considers inpalm hooks illegal and claims a speedbag is just for show more or less, so I disagree with him there but overall he has good material and it’s all free
            Edit:
            Fran Sands switch drill

Ultimately a left number one golf club at the driving range is what I need , Corrie Sanders left the writing on the wall, I think his golf swing made his cross like that.

Feel free to use this thread to post any useful footwork drill videos you know of. It doesn't have to be just Sam Soliman related.

I will add some later myself.
