After reading a thread about someone been nervous, i got a quick flashback to what an old trainer of mine said to me when i was younger.
he was an ex pro journeyman, and i remember one of the older lads at the time was very nervous about a fight coming up, He had suggested taking a rennie....yes a rennie,the peppermint thing for heartburn haha...
he said that alot boxers take them before fights, as it has somthing to do with your stomach....
im not 100% sure, but i think it was somthing like "when your nervous,you have more acid in your stomach, and taking a rennie turns the acid into water"......somthing along those lines haha
anyone ever hear of this before i start suggesting this to my own boxers??ha
in a way it KINDA makes sense, but i dont know enough about it to comment on it really haha
