How important is acceleration in a punch

F = mA
You can throw an arm punch that accelerates faster but you do so at the expense of putting your mass into the punch. You get a slightly faster punch at the expense of a great deal of mass as such the force of your punch is reduced.

Good!
Now write the equation when the head of the opponent is moving into the punch, a nearly inelastic collision. Think Marquez blasting PACman.
A great equation. Potential & kinetic energies conning together, - elasticity of gloves, the human body, friction between the canvas, etc, so many factors. Glad we can always go to math or physics to settle our disputes.
