Good advice in this thread, I would add that you should begin recording yourself as much as possible, this will help you measure your progress, and also help you view yourself in 3rd person. You will be able to identify your mistakes/errors and correct them.

recording yourself now would be nice for nostalgic purposes, that's about it. You have to know what you are looking at and what you are looking for for it to be any use. 0 bouts with 0 experience, how would he even know what he's looking at.

Whats up. Im 21 now but I was 18 when i first started boxing and my walkaround weight was 135. Im 5"10 which is tall considering i cut down to 125. I was good at knowing my range and having a quick trigger. Imagine fighting a taller, faster opponent that swings when you cross an imaginary line... Its easy because I know for a fact that i can reach them and I know exactly when to fire (as they step toward my line). I recommend cutting down weight because if you get too heavy your opponents will have natural strength and coordination over you regardless. If you focus on form and technique you will hit a lot harder and swing faster than a lot of beginners. That means that as you get better there will be less flaws to capitalize on when you fight a clever fighter. I noticed the most influential power increase when i learned about snap punching, don't push punch. Shadow box slowly and pull back as soon as you hit your target, think of a whip instead of a hammer. All i really need in a fight is my jab and movement (head and body). Just check out my invention at this link, it makes you work harder and literally teaches you everything i just mentioned.

Your technique on the video has little to nothing to do with boxing.
Your hand technique is horrible and your balance is for kicking not punching. mma is mma and Boxing is Boxing. Two seperate combats that have little in common.
