    jump rope

    anybody here jump rope with weights on your ankles? if you do do you notice a difference?

      if normal leather jump rope at high speeds with ur eyes closed is easy for u, then think about that stuff.. but u need real strong, well developed lower legs for that, or u r almost guaranteed injuries.

        I jump rope with ankle weights, but I really don't notice a difference. I feel a little lighter on my feet, but not extremely lighter. Also, I've heard that you can get injured running with ankle weights instead of jump roping with them. I wouldn't recommend it, but you could try two sessions with it.

          definitely a bad idea. it can cause angle and knee and maybe even hip problems because when you walk and how much more when you are jumping it pulls your legs down. it would be better to use a vest if you really wanted to use weight but its honestly pointless imo. there are safer better workouts that will give you better gains than jumproping with weight.
