So some of you might know that I recently moved to Toronto in Canada.. anyways, one thing that is making me stressed is that I can't join a boxing gym because it's so far, and taking the public transit is very expensive and over an hour (the closest gym). I can't afford to take the train and buses everyday, plus it's such a long ride. On the other hand, riding with a car to the gym, it's about 15 mins (according to the google maps). So I have to wait until I get my license or my dad buys a car so I can drive there...
My trainer in NY told me that I should continue because I might go far. I have less than 2 years in training and I'm 17 years old, will be 18 in a month.
The point of this thread is what should I do? Most likely I won't be taking the trains and buses everyday, not because it's so far because I took the train in NY for one hour to get to my gym, but it's too expensive for me to take the public transit everyday. I feel like I'll be so old until I can actually start again. It will probably take me like 8 months or less until I actually go to that gym but it just bothers me that I'll be older.
I thought the best thing I could do is just run everyday (which I do) and be in good shape so when I get to the gym, I don't have to spend time to get in shape and instead focus in boxing skills.
Sorry, this thread is a little odd but I just wanted to share that and get some people's thoughts. Will I be too old? I first started when I was 16, spent almost two years in the boxing gym, trained everyday and all...
