    ab works

how many crunches/sit ups can you do?

how long do you spend doin your ab works?

during those ab works, when do you breath in and out?

    1. Never tried to do as many as possible. I'd rather do exercises that are really hard and I can only do a small number of reps, then plain situps that I feel like I could do them forever.

    2. 5-10 minutes each night I'm at the gym....if I'm good.

    3. Never really thought about it and can't imagine right now sorry.

      thanks man.

on your answer at number 2 and 3

u do sit ups without a rest with 5-10 mins?

so you mean your unconscious of your breathing?

You breath out while you up and you breath in while you go down.

          I do 500 twice a week.
          takes 25-30 mins. each time
I don't do em fast though. Slowly- hold it and feel the burn.
Never really thought about the breathing side of things though.

500 without rest? or you lets say you take a minute break after 100.
whats the difference between fast and slow?
i thought one would listen to his body while workin out.

            thanks

Breathing is the most important thing in boxing, you need to learn how to breath properly while doing each activite so you dont either gas out and learn how to control your breathing too.

I'll spend 5-10 minutes doing stuff like weighted incline situps, hanging leg raises, medicine ball twists etc. I don't really do regular situps because I find I have to do too many to feel anything.

For the breathing I'm just not sure how I do it and will have to check tonight when I'm doing my abwork.

as for the breathing i exhale at the point of contraction, so when i really feel that my abs are being stretched/worked now i exhale.

i do sit ups as part of my normal weights/boxing/calisthenics and in total i probably spend 10-15mins on ab work in a week.

never really thought about the reps i just do them until i feel the burn.

P.S. does anyone anything about uneven abs? for some reason my left abs are higher and seem thicker than my right abs. anyone know why?

I don't have a break at all. Sometimes I will might break it up and do 100 of different kinds of ab exercises. When doing them I always find that the first and last 50 that I do are the painful one's. I don't know how some of you ppl feel about it but I think ab exercises are extremely important- strengthening the core helps with things like road running. I run a lot and have avoided injuries over the years- I think it's because of this.
