What type of headgear do you recommend? I was thinking about getting winning and was wondering about peoples thoughts on it. I also think I saw that someone had gotten there name put on it and wondered if that was through the company. But if you think there is a better headgear that I should get than let me know.

winning uses fake leather...reyes and grant have the best mexican style headgear if you consider the material. if winning stopped using fake leather their headgear probably would be the best because its very light comfortable and offers good protection
if youre looking for a facesaver (with the bar) id recommend the everlast safemax its basically a winning ripoff but its only 1/3 of the price and its real leather. other than that theyre pretty much the same

they use the same material in all their stuff. same padding, same fake leather etc. seems to be working out pretty well for them

to the TS: ringside has a grant headgear on sale for just $50, which is a great deal depending on what you wanna use it for
if you have thje money for winning, just go for that. it's the best headgear out there bar none. if not, then rival would be a pretty good option

i dont think its a big deal with headgear, with gloves its different but i dont think headgear can rip by absorbing punches whether its leather or not. fake leather still rips quick so you still have to watch out what you match the headgear up with in your bag
and if the pros stopped wearing winning im sure 90% of the people out there would too. if you offered somebody the winning headgear for 500 bucks and the everlast safemax or whatever its called that costs like 100 bucks people would still pick the winning even though its basically the same exact headgear. thats just the myth out there with so many pros wearing their gear every now and then

i have. to me the gloves are a little too flat/wide. theyre great gloves they offer great hand protection and so on. dont think i would pay 300 bucks for them but if somebody gave me a pair as a gift id be happy and use them
as far as the headgear like i said im not a fan of their fake leather, havent tried it yet

as for the gloves, you're absolutely right. their size to ounce build is absolutely ridiculous. i have 12oz and they fit perfectly, and my sparring partners actually love them over my other 16oz IMF tech
but you're right, they should offer sizes for every glove, especially when they're charging a ridiculous amount of money for their stuff
